King George's Community Fayre
Welcome to King George's Community Fayre, to be held at King George V Playing Fields, Canvey Island, fundraising for Yellow Door.
This even is hosted by Friends of King George V Playing Fields, supported by Yellow Door.
This is an opportunity to showcase local businesses, charities, organisations and activities. We have lots going on!
We hope this event will be of value to the local community.

Who Are We?
Friends of King George V Playing Fields is a local community group, supported by Yellow Door, to support activities and community development around the immediate area.
Yellow Door is a local charity and youth hub based in King George V Playing Fields, offering a range of free, informal and confidential services and activities focusing on young people’s health and wellbeing. We offer a range of services including Advice and Information, Support, Counselling, Mentoring, Small Groups, Clubs and Activities, Detached Youth Work, and more. We aim to help young people achieve their full potential in education, employment, family life and society.

How to get there:
Please cycle, walk or car share where possible.
By car: The King George V Playing Fields entrances are from Blackthorne Road, SS8 7BJ, however there is no public parking at the site. Blackthorne Road and Poplar Road are for Stallholders and Residents access only.
Please park at Castle Point public car parks which can be found here Car Parks | CastlePoint. Oak Road is the closest and free at weekends.
By Bus: The 22 and 27 buses go to Haystack Corner with a short walk to King George V Playing Fields.
By train: Benfleet Station, on the Fenchurch Street line is the nearest train station to King George V Playing Fields. However, train stations are not within reasonable walking distance and will require further transport.
Dogs:
Dogs are welcome and must be kept on lead.
